Web accessibility is now simple, and affordable.

What Is Web Accessibility?

“Web accessibility is a set of rules, behaviors, code standards and design guidelines, that are meant to allow people with disabilities to effectively use websites”

Website Experience with Everyone in Mind

The internet has rapidly become a staple in modern life but imagine being unable to easily navigate it. Millions of people in the world are affected by disabilities and face this challenge daily. Website accessibility had long been a luxury only big businesses could set up, manage and afford.

Our solution lowers the barrier to entry and allows businesses and organizations of any size to provide the tools that allow any user to successfully navigate and enjoy their website. Our tool accommodates the most common disabilities facing digital accessibility and meets the needs of businesses of all sizes.

How Does It Work?

The WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0) focuses mainly on three areas of accessibility: people who are blind using screen-readers (JAWS, NVDA), people with motor impairments that are using the keyboard, and a variety of other disabilities such as color blindness, epilepsy, and minor visual impairments that are mainly focus on the UI and design of the website (color contrasts, animations, fonts, etc.). We offer two types of service, one for correcting errors once and the other will include an ongoing service to maintain compliance and show site visitors that the you are proactively addressing Accessibility.

One-Time Accessibility Compliance

  • Using a web accessibility evaluation scan tool to discover technical site errors to the most recent WCAG 2.0 AA standard.

  • Creating a Website Accessibility Compliance Statement, adding this information to the website, and adding links in the footer.

    • The Website Accessibility Compliance Statement tells users what you have done to make your site ADA compliant (to the WCAG 2.0 AA standard), what you are doing moving forward, listing any known accessibility errors that remain and cannot be remedied, such as third-party plugins, themes, reservation engines, etc. Most importantly, the Website Accessibility Compliance Statement provides an alternate contact method (name or position and phone number) so a disabled person can find answers to their questions
  • Install the UserWay widget/plugin on your site.

  • Manual scan of all pages using assistive technology devices like screen readers.

    • This is a critically important component as the automated scan tools on the market today only catch about 1/3 of all site errors. The manual scan finds the remaining errors.
    • Note* We outsource this service to a knowledgeable WCAG 2.0 AA consultant who uses various browsers, assistive technology devices and plugins to manually test the site and sends a detailed report on findings. Therefor we have to charge and extra fee per website page.
  • **IMPORTANT**: The does not include fees for our time in fixing the discovered errors. Once the final report is compiled for a client, we can quote them on how much time it should take to correct all the found errors.

Ongoing Accessibility Scanning and Updating the Website Accessibility Compliance Statement

  • Monthly automated scanning with our web accessibility evaluation scan tool which will email the client and the account manager with the results. We will also update the client’s Website Accessibility Compliance Statement with the current date so visitors see that it is being actively updated and managed, as it should be.

  • **IMPORTANT**: The fees above do not include our time in fixing the discovered errors. Once the final report is compiled for the client, we can quote them on how much time it should take to correct all the found errors.
